Richard is a principal CV/AI/ML engineer with 13+ years building and fielding production computer-vision, perception, and autonomy systems for the U.S. Navy and the defense and intelligence communities — from maritime surveillance on the P-8A Poseidon and undersea autonomy for Navy UUV programs to submarine combat systems and one of the first generative-AI platforms accredited for classified environments. He holds an active Secret clearance and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (machine learning & signal processing), and is a published IEEE researcher. He sets the technical direction for First Coast Ops.
